And Lord of the Rings in 50-cent paperbacks

 

The Seekers played over and over on the phonograph

          (“Daddy, what’s a phonograph? Is it something bad?”)

Have you heard The Mamas and the Papas’ latest single?

Peter, Paul & Mary in “stacks of wax”

Three-chord commandos in every coffee shop

 

Looking back - it wasn’t the greatest stuff

But for the time and place, it was good enough
